Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992, its aim is to show how positive steps, no matter how small, can have a beneficial impact on mental well-being. Although working with plants and flowers is generally considered to lower stress levels (unless it’s Mother’s Day of course!) customers are often ordering flowers at very stressful moments in their lives, funerals being the obvious example. This is when, having a separate consultation area, away from the main business of the shop can be hugely beneficial.
