Employers’ Liability Insurance explained

Employers’ Liability Insurance (ELI) of at least £5,000 is a legal requirement if you have employees. Failure to arrange sufficient insurance cover could result in a fine of £2,500 for every day you’re not properly insured. On top of that you could face a £1,000 fine for failing to display your ELI certificate or refusing to make it available to an inspector when asked.
