Applications Now Open for this High Profile Event
Taking part in floristry competitions is a great way to challenge your skills and raise your profile as a florist, and there’s no more prestigious stage on which to compete than the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Applications are now open for the floral competitions at RHS Chelsea 2025, in two categories: Creative Spaces and Floral Creations
Creative Spaces
There is no theme for Creative Spaces. Instead this open brief encourages you to create whatever inspires you in flowers – no theme, no rules! The RHS is looking for exciting and innovative floral designs that create a floral destination for visitors to the show and, of course, present an iconic photo opportunity for social media. The RHS is encouraging florists to be brave and bold, pushing the boundaries of floral design Whatever is designed must not exceed an area measuring 5m x 5m, with a maximum height of 5.5m. The winner of this category will be presented with the Ambassador’s Choice award for floral installation.
Floral Creations
With a theme of ‘Texture’, this category is perfect for florists wanting to create something truly beautiful, but on a small scale. This design needs to be small enough to fit on a 40cm x 40cm, 1m high plinth, set within a booth measuring 1.5m wide x 1.5m deep x 2.75m tall. The RHS are hoping that this category will appeal to those florists new to Chelsea, or those who don’t have the funds or time to create a large-scale installation. Judging for this category will be to RHS standards, with the winner awarded ‘RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year’.
Why should you apply?
With around 145,000 visitors, hours of BBC programming, 600 members of the press attending from all over the world and total media coverage estimated to reach over 625 million people, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s exposure is nothing short of staggering. And you could be part of it.
