Ravishing Ranunculus featuring Floristry Tips from Su Whale

Individual and business membership logos

One of the joys of spring, Ranunculus are an absolute delight. Growing in a tight, cup-shaped, ruffled rosette, they gradually open out to reveal a black centre fringed by richly coloured, tissue thin petals. It’s very easy to see why they are such a favourite with florists, brides and gardeners.

Hugely popular as a cut flower, potted Ranunculus, which is also known as bedding Ranunculus (R. asiaticus) is a welcome feature in containers and borders in late spring, early summer where it will add a colourful splash of bold colour. Ranunculus is also an excellent plant for florists to stock as they are inexpensive, eye-catching and attractive.
