Going Green: Using Paper Wrapping

Wrapping bouquets with paper rather than cellophane seems the logical way to be more environmentally friendly. Although it might appear obvious that paper made from natural materials will be biodegradable, to be able to be broken down successfully it must be completely clean, e.g., no stickers, ink, plastic backing or wax coating. An easy way to test this is to scrunch the paper up between your hands and let go, if it springs back, then it contains something other than just paper fibre and will not be fully biodegradable.
