How to Ask for Google Reviews for your Floristry Business

review on mobile

As a local floristry business, having positive reviews on Google Business (formerly Google My Business or GMB) is essential for attracting new customers and building a strong online reputation. We went into all the details about why reviews on Google are so important, as well as how to set-up your GMB account. in previous articles. But once you’ve done all of that set-up, how can you encourage your customers to actually leave a review?

There are so many different ways to go about it, and there’s no real wrong way. Obviously, you should be mindful of the situation - it’s not going to be appropriate to leave a request attached to the side of a ‘MUM’ tribute - but there’s no harm in asking a funeral customer respectfully after the event.

If you’re looking for ways to start a conversation with your customers about reviews, our top suggestions are:

Florist Speaking to a customer in a shop

Ask in person

One of the simplest ways to request a review is to ask in person. Whether your customer is picking up an arrangement or you're delivering it to their home or workplace, take the opportunity to ask for their feedback. And brief your delivery drivers to ask for reviews too. If a customer tells you/your driver how pretty they think their bouquet is, or how happy they are with it, ask them to leave you a review. And remember to let them know that their review would be greatly appreciated and that it helps your business grow and improve; most people are happy to help out the businesses they like in this way, after all, it doesn’t cost them anything.
