RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2021

2021 is the 108th Chelsea Flower Show and the first to be held in autumn.
142,000 visitors are expected to attend. Normally the show welcomes 168,000.
The site fills 11 acres of the grounds of the Royal Hospital and has 350 exhibits from around the world.
It takes 15 months to plan each show and takes approximately 8,000 people to make it happen.
It takes 25 days to build the show from bare grass to the finished article, and 11 days to take it down.
There are 27 gardens in total with over 9,000 plants.
The Show Gardens are built from scratch in 19 days and dismantled in 5.
It takes 4 moderators, 42 judges, 8 secretaries, 4 trainee judges and 2 observers 6 hours to judge all the exhibits in the Great Pavilion.
The BBC have been covering the show since 1958.
The Queen has been a regular visitor for over 70 years and has only missed 12 shows during her reign, including this one.
During the show 32,145 glasses of Pimms will be drunk, as will 9,051 glasses of Champagne.
And 13,828 cups of tea!
