Never out of the top 10 of the world’s favourite flowers, the tulip is an iconic spring flowering bulb. In The Netherlands, Keukenhof, one of the largest flower gardens in the world, receives over one million visitors during the eight weeks it opens in spring to view it famous tulip borders, planted with over seven million bulbs. It’s no surprise to learn that the tulip is Holland’s National Flower.
